Leather Repair Kit
Kit is equipped with high quality products and all necessary accessories dedicated for repair leather. The kit is ready to use.
- Leather Glue - flexible leather adhesive based on polyurethane. Apply to the grain side of the leather. For large damage, use a thin canvas or a thin leather patch to back the repair.
- Leather Binder - a liquid filler for strengthening the fiber structure on damaged leather. Apply leather Binder to the damaged area with a sponge, drying between coats. Sand smooth with sandpaper.
- Leather Filler - filler paste for fixing and retouching leather and vinyl. Dedicated for filling all kinds of holes, scratches, cuts on leather. Apply with spatula on prepared leather surface. In deep holes try to fill it gradually - with thin layers. Dry well before colouring. Can be sanded with sandpaper.
- Leather Flexi Filler - Flexible filler paste for fixing and retouching damaged leather. Dedicated for filling shallow scratches, cracks on large leather surfaces. Apply with a spatula on prepared leather surface. Leather Flexi filler is colourless when is dry. It can shrink then you can put another layer and dry it well. Do not sand. Dry well before colouring.

How to use:
The products in Leather Repair Kit can be used to make various types of repairs to leather. Pick the type of damage you have from the headings below and follow the corresponding instructions.
Using a palette knife spread the Leather Filler over the scratch so that it fills it. Scrape off any excess filler from around the scratch. Heat each level of Filler with a hair dryer for around 5 minutes. Allow drying for 1 hour. Sand the scratch to make it smooth. In necessary, repeat this process.
Sand the surface gently to make it slightly smoother. Using the pallet knife spread the Leather Filler over all the cracking and wipe away any excess. Scrape off any excess filler. Heat each level of Filler with a hair-dryer for around 5 minutes. Repeat this process, if necessary. Allow drying for 1 hour. Sand the surface afterward, if necessary, to make it smoother. However, for widespread cracking, you may achieve better results with the Leather Flexi Filler.
Work the repair canvas sub-patch or piece of leather behind your leather. When the canvas sub-patch is neatly placed under the leather, apply Leather Glue between the canvas sub-patch and the leather. The Leather Glue is activated by the heat, so heat the area with a hair-dryer for around 5 minutes. If there is a gap in between the tear then this can be filled with the Leather Filler once the glue is dry. Apply a coat of Leather Filler that fills the gap level with the Surface. Heat each level of Filler with a hair dryer for around 5 minutes. The filler will shrink at this time, so you may need to re-apply. Allow drying for 1 hour. Sand the surface afterward, if necessary, to make it smoother.
Work the repair canvas sub-patch or piece of leather behind your leather. When the canvas sub-patch is neatly placed under the leather, apply Leather Glue between the canvas sub-patch and the leather. The Leather Glue is activated by the heat, so heat the area with a hair-dryer for around 5 minutes. Slowly start to fill the hole by applying thin layers of Leather Filler, wiping any away spills over the edges. Heat each level of Filler with a hair-dryer for around 5 minutes. Allow 1 hour drying time. When the last layer is dry sand it smooth.
Use Leather Binder when the leather has abrasions - liquid filler for strengthening the fiber structure on damaged leather. Apply three thin coats of Leather Binder to the damaged area with a sponge, drying between coats. Sand smooth with sandpaper. In necessary, repeat this process.
In case of big surface of used leather, you can use Leather Flexi Filler - flexible filler paste for fixing and retouching damaged leather. Apply with a spatula on the prepared leather surface. Do not sand. Dry well before colouring.
Finishing the job
Once you have finished using the Leather Repair Kit to repair the leather you need to use either Leather Colourant to restore the colour to the repaired leather.
Step 1. Degrease the surface.
Step 2. Apply thin layers of Leather Colourant with a sponge or spray gun until a satisfactory result is obtained. Each layer should be completely dry.
Step 3. Apply 3-4 thin layers of Leather Top Coat with a sponge or spray gun, each layer should be completely dry. To increase the durability of the coating, add 5% Cross Linker.
Process of repair and restoring the colour do in temperature 15-20 ºC
